Esa M. Mattila
ESA M. MATTILA is a Finnish sound designer and composer based in Rovaniemi, Finland. His main interests lay in electronic music, spatial sound, and minimalism. Mattila is also a desperate lover for contemporary dance and visual arts and knows quite a lot about the dirty work behind technically flawless productions. His sound design works have been heard (ie.) at Zodiak – Center for Contemporary Dance, Q-theatre, Teatteri Avoimet Ovet, Finnish National Museum, Theatre of Kokkola and Theatre of Lahti. Mattila also runs a Lapland based techno label Detachment Records.
ESA M. MATTILA has been a sound artist in ZOOM, SQUEEZED HUMANITY, KEHOLLISUUDEN MERKKEJÄ, COVER, DISTORTION, OPEN YOU HEART and DANCE OF THE FISHERMAN performances.
